  • Legacy (85 and over, member for 5 years): $100

Legacy Membership:

This membership is designed for older players many of whom have been members at and have supported the Homeland Racquet Club for a long time. Legacy members are invited to stay connected to the HRC community and continue to enjoy the sport of tennis. They are encouraged to participate in social events and remain part of the club’s activities.

Those who qualify will be 85 years old or older and be entitled to play 10 times throughout the season and unlimited number of times after September 15th. The cost of the Legacy Membership is $100 for the 2023 tennis season.

Leave of Absence:

Members can request a leave of absence by submitting a letter or email request to the Homeland Membership Secretary. A non-refundable fee of $175 must accompany the request for leave of absence. The written request and non-refundable fee must be received by February 1 of the playing year. A member who has paid the full year’s dues but subsequently wishes to go on leave of absence may request this status no later than April 1 of the playing year. The $175 leave of absence fee will be deducted from the original payment and the balance refunded to the member. Members who are on leave of absence and wish to return to active member status may do so by paying the remaining portion of full season dues.

Leaves of absence will not be granted for more than two consecutive years. After a two-year leave of absence, the member must either pay full dues and resume active membership or submit a written resignation. A member that resigns after a leave of absence must reapply for membership and pay the initiation fee to become an active member.

Initiation Fee:

There is a one-time initiation fee of $500 for all new members.

Application Fee:

A non-refundable application fee of $25, payable to HRC, must be included with the application. Those who are offered membership and decline can stay on the waiting list for up to one year. If they decline a second time, they must reapply and pay the application fee again.

Payment of dues and Guest Fees Policy:

Each playing season, there is a deadline of January 15 for the payment of current dues and guest fees owed for the previous season. Failure to pay the entire amount by the deadline will result in a $30 late charge. Failure to pay the full amount due, plus the $30 late charge, by February 1 will result in non-approval of an active membership for the upcoming season. The member will need to reapply to the club for new membership the following season and pay any unpaid guest fees owed to the club from prior years.

Non-Discrimination:

Memberships are open to all persons without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, disability or veteran status.
