Ladies Weekdays

Homeland is a member of the Baltimore Women’s Interclub Tennis League (BWITL). The league organizes a fun competition between ladies from 12 different clubs located in and around Baltimore. The doubles season takes place in the spring, beginning the first week of May and lasts 7 weeks. There are nine divisions representing many skill levels of play. Divisions 1, 2 and 3 play on Tuesday. Divisions 4, 5, and 6 play on Thursday. Divisions 7, 8 and 9 play on Mondays. The teams are placed on a ladder in order of ability as required by BWITL rules. An interclub committee consisting of two tennis pros, the current club delegate, the past club delegate, and two at-large members works to establish the order of ability, typically using ladder competitions prior to the beginning of league play.

The singles season begins after Labor Day and lasts 5 weeks. Like the doubles season, the ladies interclub tennis committee will work to put the teams in order of ability. If you are interested in playing (with or without a partner), contact the Delegate.

Ladies Monday Evenings

Originally formed to offer friendly, competitive tennis for ladies who could not play during the day, the Monday Night League has expanded to include anyone who is interested in competitive ladies tennis. A team consists of 4 doubles partnerships organized in order of ability. If there is enough interest, two teams will be formed. The Monday Night League includes other tennis clubs in the Baltimore area and runs for 6 weeks from late spring to July 4th. There are no matches over the Memorial Day holiday. A social gathering often follows evening matches. If you are interested in playing (with or without a partner), contact the Delegate.
